Prestigious New York Hospital System is looking to add several temporary to permanent status
Medical Billing Coordinators to its uptown NYC location
DUTIES SUMMARY:
· Performing billing and collections processing via phone, online portals, and in writing
· Contact insurance companies to follow up on claims
· Researching of denials and payer policies and processing of appeals
· Address incoming correspondence on a timely manner for all parties
REQUIREMENTS:
· 2 plus years of medical billing and collections experience
· Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding experience required
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite a must / experience with Epic a plus
· Superb customer service attitude
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong analytical and organizational skills
