DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - INSTITUTIONAL FUNDRAISING
DUTIES SUMMARY:
-Identify and cultivate relationships with new prospective foundation, government, and corporate donors
-Manage a portfolio of existing institutional donors and monitor lapsed relationships for renewal opportunities
-Write compelling grant proposals and manage donor communications
-Work closely with program and administrative staff to meet shared institutional giving objectives
REQUIREMENTS:
-3 years or more of nonprofit institutional fundraising experience
-Bachelor’s degree
-Proven track record in charitable foundation solicitation with solid prospect management skills
-Outstanding verbal communication skills capable of effectively reaching different audiences
-Demonstrated ability in writing compelling grant proposals (writing samples required)
-Computer savvy and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
