ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Acclaimed NYC nonprofit organization is searching for an accounting professional to work as the right-hand person to the Controller
DUTIES SUMMARY:
-Oversee a team of 4 staff in the areas of Account Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll
-Responsible for the management of cash, revenue, expenses, and the preparation of all relevant reports
-Maintain intercompany accounts
-Assist with the preparation of departmental budgets
-Assist Controller with the preparation of cash flow report and fixed asset entries
-Lead staff person in managing both internal and external audits under supervision of the Controller
-Collaborate on special projects with the Controller as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
-6 plus years of progressive accounting experience in a nonprofit organization, with at least 2 of those years in a supervisory capacity
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting
-Strong Accounting Software skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Financial Edge a plus
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
