Our client, a Fortune 500 company, is looking for a strong Sr. Accountant to join their Finance Department in their Melville, New York office.
Responsibilities:
Assist Controller with the month-end and year-end closings.
Assist with the development of budgets and forecasts.
Generate profit and loss statements.
Oversee the Cash Management function.
Support the annual financial process of external audit teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting a must, Master's preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accountant experience within a large corporate setting.
A combination of public and private industry a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel (must know how to use formulas, charts, pivot tables).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
