CONTROLLER
Acclaimed New York City Nonprofit is looking for an experienced Controller to manage one of their largest sub-entities
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
-Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger
-Manage the monthly reconciliation process
-Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all reporting
-Manage the timely closing of records on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
-Prepare sub-entity financial statements
-Work closely with external audit staff at year-end
-Assist in revising accounting policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and reduce operational risk
REQUIREMENTS
-10 + years of nonprofit / education management accounting experience
- 4 plus years of supervisory experience within a large organization
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting
-Solid accounting systems knowledge and advanced Excel skills
-Strong technical accounting, communication, and management skills
