- VP OF FINANCE / PRESTIGIOUS NEW YORK CITY BASED NON-PROFIT
DUTIES SUMMARY:
-Hands-on oversight of all financial matters for a multi-site nonprofit organization with an operating budget of $20 million
-Manage an accounting department with a staff of 5 employees and provide them with guidance and development
-Responsible for the preparation of all financial statements and presentation to the board
-Manage the consolidation of the annual operating budget and variance analysis
-Oversee the audit process
-Update and implement best practice accounting department policies and procedures
-Collaborate with President on organizational strategy and mission implementation
REQUIREMENTS:
-10 plus years of finance leadership experience in a nonprofit organization of similar size and scope
-Prior Public Accounting experience within the Nonprofit sector strongly desired
-Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance a must / CPA license preferred
-Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
