- MEDICAL SECRETARIES – TOP NYC HOSPITAL
Prestigious NYC Hospital is looking to add medical secretaries to several departments in their midtown Manhattan and Uptown locations
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Greeting and assisting patients with check-in and check-out procedures
-Confirm and update patient demographic and insurance information and input it into system
-Answer busy phones to schedule and reschedule appointments as necessary
-Collect co-pays from patients as needed
-Take and relay accurate messages for doctors
-Complete other administrative tasks for the department per hospital protocols
REQUIREMENTS:
-2 plus years of medical secretary experience working in a hospital or large and fast-paced medical practice
-High School Diploma a must / College Degree a plus
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Customer focused friendly attitude
-Knowledge of Epic systems desired
